Bouldering Outdoors

We at ClimbingVan make it our top-priority to ensure you will be equiped with all gear and information you need to venture out and take your climbing to the next level. Unless you are in deep tune with nature, we advice you to bring a pair of climbing shoes. Further, we recommend bringing a chalk bag, some chalk, tape, and a climbing brush (all of which can be bought in the local climbing store as well). Other than that, you should not worry about a thing – all essentials are being taken care of by ClimbingVan. The only thing you might want to consider, is getting an extra crashpad for the journey. If you are not sure, please read below.

Yes and no. This depends on several factors such as: size of the pad, personal preference, height of the boulder, drop zone, number of other cimbers to team up with. In Albarracin the drop zone is generally very good (flat). However, there are certainly boulders in which a second crashpad (or even more pads if you go very high and drop zone is potentially dangerous) is highly recommended Albarracin is a well known boulder region where you will usually encoutner other climbers with crashpads to team up with. Generally, you will find that climbers will join and work on problems together. If you want to join other climbers, it is recommended to contribute a crashpad yourself, as opposed to showing up without one. However, you will probably not always find other people to boulder with on the problem you want to climb, or you just feel like staying to yourself. In that case we can offer you an additional crashpad for just €5 a day. Just contact ClimbingVan (info@climbingvan.com). Both crashpads will fit the van.

You can expect to either be equipped with an Ocun Dominator, or Ocun Moonwalk. Both are crashpads of superb quality and fit in the van just perfectly. For more information, check out the product video:
